Blush with radiant colors will help you have a beautiful face with bright skin and fresh cheekbones. Regular makeup steps with many layers of cream, primer, foundation, and powder will cover the natural blush of the cheeks. Therefore, using blush is an important step to help regain this. This article will help you choose and use blush when applying makeup.

1. Choose the right type of powder

On the market there are many types of blush with different textures including powder blush, cream blush and gel blush. Normally, powder powders are suitable for people with oily skin because the matte and smooth powder particles will help the skin look airy and not shiny like when using cream powder. Dry skin should use cream to get a soft, smooth and relatively moist effect. Gel products in particular can be used for all skin types thanks to their liquid texture that is easy to spread and easy to adjust the amount of color. If your skin has many blemishes, large pores, acne, etc., try using a layer of transparent gel blush first and then covering it with matte powder. You should not use powders with emulsion because they will easily reveal skin flaws.

2. Choose a powder color that matches your skin tone

Blush color should always match skin tone. If your skin is cool, use pink and red blush. Warm-toned skin goes well with pastel colors of gold, golden or peach tones. With neutral-toned skin, you can easily use all your favorite blush colors. In addition, you should also choose the same lipstick color as your cheek color so that they complement each other.

3. Choose a blush brush

A suitable makeup brush will help you determine the exact amount of powder you need to use for each makeup application. Brushes made from natural bristles will help apply more and thicker powder onto the cheeks, while brushes with soft, cottony synthetic bristles will create a lighter, thinner layer of powder. Cream blush should be used with a natural blush brush, while synthetic brushes are suitable for powder blush. You should not use a brush with too thick bristles because the thicker the bristles, the more powder it tends to carry. This will make it difficult for you to adjust the amount of powder applied on your cheeks, leading to an uneven or too dark powder layer.

How to apply blush

Apply blush when you have completed other facial makeup steps. You should cover your face with a layer of powder before using blush so that it sticks evenly on the skin without sticking to the makeup layers below.

To create smooth, natural blush makeup, apply powder to the entire cheekbone and gradually spread the color around. If you want to create contour for a round face, apply powder from the middle of the cheekbones and gradually upward to the ears. To make the cheek color too close to the corners of the eyes and nose, place 2 fingers close to the wings of the nose to determine the starting point for applying powder. You should hold the brush loosely and apply it to your cheeks with moderate pressure so that the powder layer is naturally thin.

After applying cheek makeup, you should lightly cover your face with a layer of Setting Powder so that the powder stays on the skin longer.
