Google recently officially revealed their flagship smartphone, the Nexus 6 with powerful hardware and many accompanying features. However, with the price being quite expensive, is this a worthwhile choice?

The reason the Nexus 6 is so much larger than the Nexus 5 is its approximately 6-inch “phablet” display.
While the Nexus 5’s screen is only 4.95 inches in size, with a “common” resolution of Full HD 1920 x 1080, the Nexus 6 is on a different display level with a QHD 2560 x 1440 screen for outstanding sharpness and color fidelity. It also has a pixel count of 493ppi compared to 445ppi in the Nexus 5.
Another big difference is that the Nexus 5 only has an LCD screen with IPS panel technology, which already provides image display quality, color fidelity, as well as excellent viewing angles, while the Nexus 6 also has a much more advanced AMOLED screen.
AMOLED screens offer unique features such as super high color contrast and more realistic depth than LCD screens, but sometimes this type of screen still has problems with edge sharpness as well as color accuracy.
Compare Nexus 6 and Nexus 5: Camera

The camera has not been a highlight of the Nexus series in general so far, perhaps partly due to cost savings criteria, not wanting to push prices up too high for Google’s mid-range products. The Nexus 5 launched last year up to this point has the best camera with 8MP resolution and OIS. However, the Nexus 5’s camera level is still much inferior to competitors in the same segment.
The Nexus 6 was born with a small improvement in the camera, increasing the resolution to 13MP, with a larger image sensor, wider aperture, and a pair of dual-LED flashes that are expected to be worth testing. The Nexus 6’s rear camera also has a pretty good-looking design, with a rounded border surrounding the lens.
Compare Nexus 6 and Nexus 5: Software

There is not much to comment here, as both Nexus versions will support Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Not only that, these two devices also act as pioneers to download this highly anticipated update, which is November 12 for the Nexus 5.
However, as someone with more powerful hardware, as well as the next generation, it is certain that Nexus 6 users will be supported with a few more features, or at least run new Android 5.0 applications more smoothly than its predecessor.
