An man is suing a country club after he hit a hole-in-one at a golf tournament and was not given the 2022 Ford truck he was promised as a prize.
Austin Clagett competed in what was advertised as the ‘Tournament of the Century’ at Morrilton Country Club in hope of winning the 2022 Ford F-150 4×4 Supercrew, valued at $53,395.

Andrew Norwood of Denton & Zachary, Clagett’s attorney, spoke to DailyMail.com and called the entire situation ‘very fishy.’
Norwood said: ‘The main thing we figured out since filing suit is there appears there’s no insurance.I don’t care if there is or not. Mr. Clagett did not make a deal with an insurance company. He made a deal with the country club.’

‘I’m 36, I’ve played golf my entire life, I’ve never hit a hole-in-one.My client’s played his entire life, it’s his first hole-in-one.’
The attorney adds that Clagett specifically played in this tournament to attempt to win the truck, claiming it was promoted in several Facebook groups for golfers. The manager of the club, Norwood says, even told him to come play when he called about the promotion at a rate of $375-per-team.

Our local dealership Jay Hodge Ford has given us a truck to give away to the first person who makes a hole in one on the designated giveaway hole.’
