On transparency, Gerovich argued Metaplanet is among the most open listed companies, pointing to real-time wallet disclosures and frequent purchase announcements, including those in September. He also acknowledged market-timing issues, conceding that “September marked a local peak,” and said he would not deny that fact.
Gerovich pushed back on critiques of the company’s financial reporting as well, saying “net profit is not an appropriate metric for evaluating a bitcoin treasury company.” He also rejected damaging claims about Metaplanet’s hotel business, calling it profitable rather than “in ruins.”
With bitcoin volatility and investor scrutiny likely to continue, Gerovich framed Metaplanet’s approach as a deliberate, options-backed accumulation program backed by transparent reporting — even as the market tests that thesis.
