– From Hanoi center, cross Thang Long bridge, go along Thang Long – Noi Bai highway to the intersection with National Highway 2, then turn left toward Vinh Phuc.

– Next turn onto the road leading to Thanh Chuong Viet Palace (Provincial Road 135 (35))

– Go straight for another 7km, there is a right turn leading to Viet Phu.

– If you want to go to Ham Lon Mountain, continue going straight, do not turn right according to the photo above until you see a sign leading to this road. So you are standing in front of the trail leading to Ham Lon Mountain.

The path you are looking at is the longest path, the longest one takes about 3 hours to walk. The road is quite bumpy and difficult to navigate. You can travel by foot or bicycle, but motorbikes cannot because the deeper you go, the narrower and overgrown the road becomes, making it difficult to navigate.

If you are afraid to go, instead of hitting this trail, from the green sign, you continue going straight in the direction of the sign pointing to Ni Street, another 1.5km to the trail turning to the Bau stream dam and lake. located at the foot of Ham Lon mountain. This is the shortest path up the mountain, taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk.

This trail is on the left hand side of the road, and has no signposts. It’s located opposite a small shop specializing in renting out backpacking and camping gear, with a large advertising sign right on the street so you can easily see it.

The total time from Hanoi center to the trail leading to Ham Lon mountain/Bau stream lake as above by motorbike only takes about 1-1h30 minutes. The road is straight, wide and easy to walk.

There are two paths to the top of the mountain. The first path is a fairly flat trail, easy to walk and has few bushes. Travel time only takes from 2 hours to 2 and a half hours. The second path is along the stream with many challenges suitable for those who like adventure and exploration.

With a travel time of about 4 hours, visitors will have to cross small streams or go through bushes. Although there are many sections where you have to pave your own way, that is the attraction of the road to conquer this mountain.

With streams, rapids, mossy rocks and bushes, it will make your trip a little more adventurous and interesting.
