1. History of formation and development of Leffe beer
Factory Leffe beer began when the Leffe monks of the Premonstratensian Order began growing hops, milling grain and brewing beer at the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Leffe in the Belgian province of Namur during the 13th century. After surviving the flood of Muese river in 1460 and then a great fire 6 years later, the brewery began to prosper in the 17th century. Leffe beer is famous for the quality of its beer and the brewery Belgian beer was expanded and renovated at this time.

With the professional support of brewer Albert Lootvoet, brown beer Leffe was introduced back in 1952. Interbrew – now AB-InBev – later acquired Lootvoet’s operations in Overijse, Belgium.
Today, AB-InBev produces five top-fermented “monastic” beers under the Leffe brand: golden, swarthy (also known as dark Leffe), Leffe 9°, triple and radieuse (also known as vieille cuvée ). All five Leffe beers are now produced at Stella Artois’s much larger facility in Leuven with Abbaye Notre-Dame de Leffe receiving royalties from their sales. Types of beer Leffe is all filtered and tends to leave a sweet aftertaste on the palate.
Backed by the market reach of the world’s largest Belgian brewer, Leffe beer is now available in more than 60 countries worldwide. AB-InBev maintains a small museum opposite the monastery that can be visited from April to October each year. Many buildings still exist at the abbey, including the church, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries.
2. Flavors and aromas of Leffe beer
Leffe beer is approachable, easy to drink, sure to please many palates with its delicious mouthfeel and overall refined character. Faint aromas and flavors of cloves, white pepper and freshly baked bread rise to the nose and palate, lifted by medium carbonation. A lingering malty sweetness lingers on your taste buds as soon as you swallow the beer.
Leffe beer is also a great choice for Asian takeout, especially dishes with a bit of spice, as the sweetness of the Belgian beer pairs beautifully with the mild heat.
3. Comment on Leffe beer, is it good to drink? How much does it cost?
The only pleasant surprise that the back label of the Leffe beer bottle tells us is that this beer has 6.6% alcohol content. It’s pleasant because that would make it stand out from most cheap draft and bottled beers.
Although this is a perfect aperitif beer, it also tastes delicious with many dishes, especially red meat, sweet and sour dishes and white moldy cheeses, such as Camenbert, Brie, Brillat-Savarin or Saint-Marcellin. There are countless soft-middle cheeses that are perfect for a fresh and fruity Leffe Blond.
Leffe beer not only looks quality but is also a quality drink. So it’s worth trying a bottle of this Belgian beer for yourself.
Leffe beer has a reference price of 720,000 VND/1 beer barrel Leffe Brune (Leffe brown beer) 24 bottles of 330ml concentration 6.5%; or 1 case of Leffe Blonde beer (Leffe yellow beer) 24 bottles of 330ml concentration 6.6%.
